Valentin Six

Hi there ! 👋🏼

My name is Valentin and I do research in Machine Learning.

I am currently a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Virginia, advised by Prof. Hadi Daneshmand.

My research interests lie in the theoretical foundations of machine learning, with an emphasis on the interpretability and reliability of generative models. We try to understand their inner mechanisms, both during training and inference, using tools from probability theory, applied mathematics, and mathematical physics.

Previously, I was a research intern in the Empirical Inference Lab at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems with Prof. Bernhard Schölkopf.

I earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from Télécom SudParis, where I studied Mathematics and Physics.
